Project-based Research Training Programme

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad (CSIR-CCMB)
invites applications from interested individuals to undertake Project -
based Research Training. Candidates will work in a laboratory for a
period of 6-months or 1-year; based on their research interest. A fee
of 25,000 INR would be charged for a 6-month period and a fee of 40,000
INR would be applicable on a 1-year training.
Applications would be online. Candidates are requested to read the
instructions
carefully before initiating the application process. After
submitting the application in the prescribed format, successful
candidates will get a confirmation email. They would need to make
payment through NEFT to the CCMB account (Account details given below).
In addition to laboratory training, candidates will be exposed to
scientific ethics, good laboratory practice and career opportunities in
life sciences. Candidates will be assessed quarterly and shall submit
reports as well to CCMB.
Shared accommodation will be available at a nominal charge of Rs. 500
per month. Canteen services will be available on all working days.

Candidates need to first make contact with a CCMB scientist (PI) of
choice
(http://www.ccmb.res.in/index.php?view=researchgroups&mid=0&id=19)
and
seek their written consent (email) prior to an application. The consent
letter from the CCMB Scientist should have the project title, start
date and the duration of the project clearly mentioned. This has to be
uploaded during online application along with a statement of purpose,
latest CV and final year mark sheet of the highest degree obtained.

Candidates who are employed need to furnish a No Objection Certificate
(NOC Format)
from their employer to be considered for such
training at CCMB. Individuals pursuing any degree course (for.e.g
M.Sc., M.Tech. B.Tech, PhD etc) are not eligible for this programme.

- Candidates should apply at least 1 week (minimum) and
at most 1 month (maximum) ahead of the start date of the project-based
training at the CCMB lab.
- Candidates need to send the scan copy of the NEFT
receipt to pbst@ccmb.res.in for record and tracking purposes.
- Certificates would be issued to candidates on
completion of the term, decided at the beginning of the training. In
case, the candidate has to leave earlier, the case would be discussed
individually, along with the PI and the PBST Committee. In any case,
request for fee refund would not be entertained.
